Polish Honours:

MALAYSIAN AWARD

On my return home from the official commemorative ceremonies for the 50th anniversary of "D.Day" I learned that I had been awarded the Silver Medal of the Royal Victorian Order in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.  The Royal Victorian Order was instituted on the 21st April 1896 as an Order entirely in the personal gift of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, to enable her to acknowledge and reward outstanding and personal service to her, her heirs and successors.

As the personal gift from the Monarch, admittance to this order was, and continues to be held in the highest regard.  In 1937 King George V1 ordained that from the date of his Coronation the Sovereign's Chapel at Windsor Castle should be the Chapel of the Order.

I, being one time Divisional Commandant of the Special Constabulary at Doncaster have had a long and distinguished service career, covering over 53 years in various branches of the Armed and Civil Services, seeing active service during world war 2 in The Battle of The Atlantic, D,Day Normandy (Task force 129), Germany, Malaya, Java, Suez and Cyprus, as well as other insurrection's in the Middle and Far East.

Most of My Family have also served in the Armed Forces during the last 300 years in various parts of the world and the old British Empire.
